‘The Stone Haven’, a multiple award-winning home, was TYM’s third Salt Lake Parade of Homes partnership with builder Tree Haven Homes.

TYM was personally awarded an MVP award by Tree Haven Homes and the Salt Lake Home Builders Association for their custom integration work on this spectacular estate.

CUSTOM HOME THEATER

Designed by our THX certified professional, everything about this custom home theater was carefully considered, according to the homeowner’s wishes, from the star ceiling to the location of the owner’s seats. TYM sourced the best technology to create a dream home theater, where the homeowner and their guests could entertain or just relax as a family.

The home theater features a Sony VPL-VW600ES projector, with cinema 4K resolution (4096×2160). This Sony home theater projector features the same technology and resolution found in Sony’s high-end, commercial 4K movie theaters, providing an astonishingly immersive home theater experience.

The 135”, 16:9, 4K Elite Prime Vision screen from Elite Screens is an excellent match for the Sony 4K projector. The screen is also acoustically transparent, allowing the front 3 speakers, and 2 subwoofers to be mounted directly behind the screen. This type of commercial-theater speaker placement places the audio at the same level as the action on screen.

A 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system with 13 speakers creates a truly immersive soundscape. The new Paradigm CI Elite speakers, handcrafted in Canada, provide rich and powerful reference-level audio.

At the request of the owner, a completely bespoke fiber optic star ceiling was created. Over 26,000 linear feet (5 miles) of fiber optic strands were hand placed into the ceiling’s plaster work to create 1,000 individual twinkling stars. TYM’s creative director then painted a ceiling mural with several paint colors from Ralph Lauren paint. This subtle mural reveals the different colors and shapes of the night sky in the changing light of the room. The overall effect in magical.

The entire home theater, from the video sources to the volume levels to the lighting can be controlled via Savant App on the owner’s mobile devices.

HOME AUTOMATION

Whole-home control is powered by Savant, which allows users to control the home’s systems, in-home or remotely, from any mobile device including iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android devices. Unlike DIY smart devices, which can require multiple apps, Savant allows smart technology and entertainment systems to be integrated into a single smart ecosystem—this is a single app home. For ‘The Stone Haven’, the TVs, home audio, home theater, climate control, network, lighting control, security, and surveillance systems have all been integrated for control.

Integration extends to the award-winning landscape design with Savant-controlled automation for the numerous water features, including the 20 foot water fall.

HOME AUDIO

This home featured whole-home distributed audio, with 18 zones and nearly 40 in-ceiling speakers, from Paradigm, TruAudio, and The DaVinci Group. Per client’s request, every space had speakers installed, including the master shower. Additional areas, like the 4-car garage and the detached garage were prewired for future speakers.

VIDEO DISTRIBUTION

This home was future-proofed with HDCP 2.2 4K Ultra HD video distribution from Atlona. This enabled all of the homes 8 4K Ultra HD Sony Smart TVs with Android, and the Home Cinema to receive 4K content from a Sony 4K Ultra HD Media Player, as well as future UHD sources. A Savant SmartView video tiling system allows up to 9 video feeds to be viewed at the same time on the same TV or in the home theater.

INTERCOM

A next-generation intercom system by Savant pairs mobile devices with the home’s audio system. The owner can page different rooms on the house via their phone or tablet.

SURVEILLANCE

More than just a surveillance camera, Visualint Intelligent Cameras are able to recognize different objects, such a people, pets, and vehicles, and send alerts accordingly. For instance, a Visusalint Intelligent Cameras can detect when a child opens a pool gate and then send an alert to a parents’ phone.
