Tym (pronounced ‘time’) is an award-winning leader in home technology design and installation.

Tym was founded in 2009 by brothers, Matt, Greg, and the late Scott Montgomery. The brothers help home designers, architects, developers, and even DIY-ers, achieve the best in custom home technology solutions.

Services include design, consultation, specification, and installations of LED lighting, motorized shades, network/WiFi, private home cinema, home audio, automation, outdoor AV, security, voice control and more.

To date, Tym has won over 20 national and international awards for their work. Their popular online videos—across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok—have accumulated tens of millions of views.

Matt’s ebook “How To Wire Your Smart Home” is a best seller among professionals and DIY-ers alike. He has taken classes with Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA).

Matt is also basketball skills youth coach.

Greg Montgomery

CTO / Owner

Dubbed “The Wizard” by clients, Greg is the chief “figure-it-out” brother. He has designed and custom-programmed dozens of internationally award-winnning projects on behalf of Tym.

Greg is THX Level 2 certified and has taken classes from the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF). He is Savant level 2 and Control4 certified. Greg is one of the hosts of Tym’s online videos, sharing his love for—and knowledge of—all things tech.
