We love technology. We love everything about it — learning how it works, seeing what’s new, installing it, setting it up and watching it do its magic.

That’s what makes our company different from some others. You may have worked at a job where you sold shoes or made coffee or mixed drinks, and you may have done a good job, but you know that loving what you do — living and breathing it — makes the difference.

When you hire a company, you may wonder if they are up on all the latest changes in their field, if the workers are doing their continuing ed hours and if they’ll show up on time and do the job right.

We’re One with Tech

Being devoted to your industry makes all these questions moot. We read WIRED in our spare time, for fun. CNET is like our bible. We count the days until the next Consumer Electronics Show or CEDIA Expo (Sept. 14-17 in Dallas this year — woo-hoo!). No one has to pay us to do these things; we already do them for free, because we love them.

Home automation and audio/video technology are some of the most dynamic industries in the world. They change at practically the speed of light, and if you can’t keep up, you’re out of the game.

That’s one of the aspects about this work that’s so appealing to us. You never get bored. There’s always something new and exciting in the pipeline.

Not everyone feels this way. Some people like to buy a TV and watch it for 20 years. Heck, they’d watch the same shows if the networks kept showing them (hence the popularity of TV Land).

Knowledge Is Fun

It’s true, we want our customers to have the best products available, but it’s more than that — we want to know about the products ourselves. We want to see how they work, what they can do. And when we find out, we carry this enthusiasm over onto the sales floor.

To provide good service, you have to know your products — everything about them. We can’t help but get excited when we show customers what the new Savant and Control4 home automation systems can do for them.

We say, “Hey, watch this!” at work a lot.

Sights and Sounds

The same goes for our audio and video products. People take their music and their movies seriously. We understand that, because we do too.

We’re not listening to the ball game on a transistor out in the back yard the way our dad used to. We’ve got high-tech wired throughout, so you’d swear you were physically at the game, or that Maroon 5 was playing right at your house.

The type of home theater experience that’s possible today makes going to the Cineplex a silly waste of time. We want you to sit down in one of our soft leather adjustable seats and immerse yourself in the experience.

Whenever you’re in the market for new technology — home automation, audio, video, theater, security — trust us at TYM Smart Homes to show be up on the newest and most advanced products and how best to install them. When it comes to technology, we’ve got the market cornered.
